The last day of my boss

We gave her a flower bouquet and said good bye.
None of us got sentimental.

It was a very simple ending.
Everything must come to an end.

I've made up my mind I will always think about the end.
The end may come suddenly.

Begin with the end in mind.

Trials and tribulations

Can you give me some pointers?

How can I be a leader?

Thursday, September 28, 2006

Farewell party of my boss

We worked together for about ten years.
We had many hard times.

She was always a good leader.
She had some serious problems in private.
But she never gave up.

Work and life balance.
She was successful.

I want to be as strong as her.
And some day I will have an ordinary family.
I will have one or two kids with my husband living together.
That's my way of "ordinary family".

My dream will come true in the near future.

You get what you give.

Relax.
I sometimes get confused.

Step by step.
One by one.

Make haste slowly.

Running on a hand-to-mouth basis

You have to run just to keep from going bankrupt.
It's a precarious day-to day management.

So-called shoestring operation.

It's too risky but exciting.

All or nothing.

The new leader

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe was elected as head of ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
It means he's going to be the next Prime Minister.

He was born after the war.
He's going to be the youngest Prime Minister in history after the World War II.

Japan has a lot of problems.
How is he going to deal with them?

Land prices increase in 3 major urban areas in Japan

The land prices are rising up in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

But in my town the price is still going down.
If I had waited for some years, I could have bought the condominium at a lower price.

That's all right.
I don't regret.
I bought the condo about six years ago.
It was the best timing for me.

Prioritize, and do the most important things first.

Too many things in my TO DO list.
Where can I start?

I'm confused.
First of all, I should rearrange my list.

Fact of life

I'm glad you finally realized you have to change your life.

You say you stop drinking and stop wasting money.
Now that you reached the conclusion, you just have to keep going.

Do you understand what I say?

She was always gentle but strong at heart.

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You are the wind beneath my wings.

our mission is simple-to eliminate cancer

I learned about M.D.Anderson Cancer Center in Texas.
The pharmacist who went there gave a lecture.
He studied multidisciplinary cancer care approach there.

Doctors, nurses (APN : Advanced Practice Nurse ), pharmacists (Pharm.D) and other co-medicals work together for patients.

In Japan doctors are at the top of medicine.
Co-medicals work under the direction of doctors.
Will we be able to change this system in Japan?

Be proactive , not reactive.

Will Rogers phenomenon

The Will Rogers phenomenon is the apparent paradox obtained when moving an element from one set to another set raises the average values of both sets.
It is based on the following quote, attributed to comedian Will Rogers:When the Okies left Oklahoma and moved to California, they raised the average intelligence level in both states.
