Koizumi visits the Yasukuni Shrine on August 15

It's the anniversary of the end of World War II.

The Prime Minister Koizumi visited the Yasukuni Shrine.
The shrine is for the spirits of soldiers who died fighting for Japan.

Why is it controversy?
Because the shrine is also dedicated to the Class A war criminals.
South Korea and China always protest against it.

So Japan should divide the war criminals from others?

I haven't experienced a war.
Are war criminals so bad?
They may did cruel things but they must have done it for the country.
At least they believed they were doing the right thing.
They fought for Japan.
And they are dead now.

Let dead people die.
